nice Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

Hi Errol,

Such a nice site, I love the look at the Shetlands, you have to be a
rugged bunch to deal with that sea. I am a boater from Long Beach Ca. 30
ft Searay twin I/O and I sure do appreciate the The Coasties around the
world there have been times out here when they helped me and vice versa
when I have towed as many as tree boats back to saftey while the guys
went after more that needed help. It looks as if you are getting a lot
of time to work on your site it is very well done. Well you gentlemen
keep the watch, there will always be those of us in need of your help.

From Long Beach to the Shetlands hats off to your good work,

Bruce Palmer

ERROL ! I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN KIERON MURRAY PRODUCING THE NEGATIVE
FOR THE OSCAR CHARLIE WINCHING PHOTO ON THE SHETLAND COASTGUARD SITE. I
THINK MAYBE HE WOULD FIND IT DIFFICULT, AS I TOOK THAT PICTURE AND HAVE
THE NEG AND CONTACT SHEET TO PROVE. REGARDS ROB.

HI
love ur site
just visiting as my friend recommended that i visit.
Nice layout
Im just wondering if you fine ppl know what it involves in the duke of
edinburgh award scheme if u do th coastguard.
Im so lazy as i cant wait till friday to find out
U will be hearing a lot about me
eventually with my kite surfing antics.
Oh i have 1 suggestion.
Well its actually a question.
Recently i was down at the slets and my friends were fooling around inn
the waves as was i but i stopped after a while as it is too dangerous
I know that the police do on occasions come down to the slets to tell
people off as do u.
Im just wondering if there is another number to phone instead of 999 to
tell u guys if dangerouse happening r going on at the slets.
thank you

My paternal grandparents were Sarah Helen Hunter and Andrew John White
of Weisdale. My maternal grandfather's family were Crother Seymours
from Lewis, I think. The grandma on that side came from Jim Barry's mob
in County Armagh. And here I live down at the other end of the ocean,
in the driest state of the driest continent on earth. It's good, but I
need another visit to the Auld Rock. Looking at your site makes me
feel like risking the swim!

Very nice site. Very good information on the Shetland Islands and your
coastguard. The best information on the islands I have found on the
net. Job well done. Hope the Coastguard will have less to do in the
future. Best regards to Shetland .... From Iceland

Coastguard has finally sprung to life with web sites up and down the
country. Some small, some larger, some very professional. Above all
there is a clear demonstration to offer information to the public, both
serious and humourous alike.

This particular site rates very highly. Keep up the good work.

Regards

Nice sight ! Well done.

I would like to express my thanks and those of the crew of the Swedish
Coastguard Cutter 'Gotland' / KBV 181 for the warm welcome we received
during the ship's recent visit to Lerwick.

We too will soon have a coastguard sight - I'll send you a link when it
is up and running.

Regards
Stephen

Researching family history. Just looking to find as much information on
Shetland as I can. As alot of the ''old'' family were fishermen and/or
lumpers were lost at sea-keep up the good work!

BM2 Adam Credle, USC   08/May/2000:15:57:12
Very nice place y'all have over there. I'll have to see if I can find
some pitchures of some of the "Colonies" Coast Guard Stations.

Neil Cummins   04/May/2000:10:32:44
Spot on.. Now we'll have to think of a way to get the people of
Shetland to read it. Or maybe you already have!
